Introducing the 900-I, 1800-I and EDAC2

Vancouver, WA - US Digital is proud to announce the release of our two newest encoder resolutions, 900-I CPR and 1800-I CPR.

The 900-I CPR encoder resolution may be used with any of our E5, H5, H15 or S5 optical encoders. The 1800-I CPR encoder resolution may be used with any of our E6, H6 or S6 optical encoders.

Vancouver, WA - US Digital is proud to announce the release of our newest encoder accessory, the EDAC2.

The EDAC2 converts the A and B quadrature output of an incremental encoder into a voltage that is proportional to the encoder position.

DIP switches are provided to select various modes:

  • Unipolar mode provides 0 to 4.095V or 0 to 10V.
  • Bipolar mode provides 4.095V or 10V.
  • X1 mode counts on every encoder transition.
  • X4 mode counts on every 4th encoder transition (once per quadrature cycle).
  • Reverse counter direction.

EDAC2 The EDAC2 has an internal counter that may be reset in one of three ways: by pressing the reset button, power cycling the unit, or enabling the reset on encoder index. The reset may be configured to either mid-range or minimum range.

The EDAC2 also provides a TTL logic level output bit, which changes state to indicate direction of a rotary encoder shaft rotation or linear encoder direction of travel.
